Dumb question: how do you turn the 210p on?  Seriously...I ask this because I am having problems with mine, which I purchased a couple of months ago. It takes several times pushing the large light changing button until my PC will finally turn on. I've tried holding it longer and pressing it in different spots but it never seems to work on the first few tries. Is this not the power button??? Is there some trick to getting it to work right? Or...do I have a bad unit? |

I press the button on the power symbol, at the bottom of the strobing light and it turns on.

I press mine at the bottom of the rounded section where the symbol is... Maybe your actual microswitch is loose behind the fancy chromed button fascia...?

Mine seems to work no matter where I press.
If the box has been completly powered off / uplugged, it may be worth noting that I have to hold the power button in for a few seconds before I press it again to power up.
Hope this makes some sense!

My 200n started doing this very same thing recently. I hit the power, and it starts to power up, then dies. I sometimes have to hit the power 4 or 5 times before it powers up fully. the interesting thing is that once running, I can restart with no problem, making me think something needs to warm up before it works right. The other possibility is a fan issue, in which a fan is a bit stuck, and it takes a few starts and stops before it settles in to an RPM range that will allow a boot. I am hearing some fan noise, and will be looking into a new CPU fan, and perhaps a new PSU.
Speaking of, anyone have an old 200n PSU they want to sell? I am hoping someone upgraded to get more power and is willing to sell their old underpowered PSU.

It might just have something to do with waiting a bit after plugging it in before it'll power on. I'm out of town for the weekend so my PC will be unplugged...I'll let you know what happens when I get back and plug 'er in again.

ok...i see what's going on now....it looks like once the machine's been unplugged, to get it to power on you must first hold down the power button for a couple of seconds, and THEN press the button as normal....anyone know why this might be. bios setting? jumper?
