What's the best solution for the 3801 250W right now?  The 5700, 6200, 6600GT or something else?  I'm especially worried about the power requirements and the fit in the case.

Thanks.

I am running a BFG 6800OC along with CDROM, 2HD, 2x512M RAM and it is rock solid.  The BFG 6800 does not use a double wide fan/cooling solution, unlike the GT, so it fits well. I think the 6800 is best bang for the buck if you plan to use AA vs the 6600GT. Bonus is you can unlock the extra pipelines/shaders to give more of a boost in fps.
Another plus is the 6800 cards have fan speed control so at idle they are quieter than at full blast for 3D.  The 6600 series do not have fan speed control so you need to look for a quieter one (like MSI) if that concerns you. A buddy has the XFX 6600GT and he hates how loud it is.

Also, you didn't really state what you were going to use the vid card for: games, graphics editing, play DVD, etc. which will determine a recommendation.

tomshardware recently put up a video card comparison of latest AGP cards.  You may want to check that out to get an idea of what performance vs task you can expect.

Cheers

Mainly for gaming.  My 9500 Pro is choking in BF2 and needed a cheap upgrade.

people have reported being able to run 6800gt's and ati class equivalents with the 250w psu.

anandtech also has a vga roundup comparing bf2 performance for low, mid and high end cards.

I ran a XT800XT in my 3401 with a P4 2.6. No problems.

I've been out of the loop for a while.  What's the main difference between the 6600 and the 6600GT?
Also, would most non-doublewide cards fit in the Qbic?

6600gt has higher clocks and i think a few more pipes.

I do have the 6800LE and softmod-ed it to a 6800GT (bios voltage hack and Rivatuner 2.0 NVStrap drivers) and it's pretty good. it's really cheap and get very good performance.
