CeBIT 2006: New Shuttle Form Factor to Become a Milestone

ELMSHORN, Germany, February 2 /PRNewswire/ --

- Home Entertainment in Focus

Shuttle, leading designer and manufacturer of SFF PCs is to showcase the latest Shuttle XPCs on CeBIT 2006 as the world's most important IT trade fair. An exhibition area of 600 square meters in hall 2, booth C36 is completely occupied by Shuttle XPCs.

"After several years as a renowned exhibitor, Shuttle is represented in one of the most famous halls on CeBIT this year," explains Melanie Liu, Head of Marketing, Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. With an intensified focus on fully-configured SFF PCs, the complete line-up of Shuttle XPCs will be on display. "Our target is an even stronger market position of our Shuttle XPCs in order to open up new target groups and extend market share," states Melanie Liu. Thus, the fully-configured Shuttle XPCs deserve special attention and are ready to draw the crowds this year. Twelve basic configurations are already available - from low end models to groung-breaking SLI solutions. Thanks to the Shuttle Systems Configurator that was integrated on the Shuttle website at the beginning of 2006, each Shuttle XPC offered can be configured online in order to meet individual requirements.

"We have introduced the world's first SFF PC five years ago and thus have invented the Small Form Factor," says Melanie Liu and continues: "The time to set another milestone has arrived." A new Form Factor will help Shuttle to make the new Shuttle XPCs even smaller and even more quiet with special regard to the living room, where Shuttle XPCs can seamlessly be integrated. Be prepared to get in touch with Home Entertainment right at the Shuttle booth C36 in hall 2 from March 9 to March 15, 2006.

Shuttle didn't make the first SFF PC, there were others available at the time from the Sumicom and small form factor desktops. They simply made a cube that was quite popular, far from inventing it.

I think they did coin the term SFF though didn't they?

Ah well, were would we be without revisionist history and marketing spin?

I don't know, but Apple released a two button mouse and it was revolutionary . Marketing really does wonders.
