I have a 693a, but my BIOS only shows for the speed of the memory bus "FSB" and "FSB-33". What I would like to have is "FSB+133". I tried to do that with WPCRSet and what I got was an instant reboot. It is true that WPCRSet shows that register with a "readonly" flag.

I tried to change the register between two known good values of the register (between FSB-33 and FSB).

Thanx

Maybe your board doesn't suport working with the memory speed greater that the FSB. Or, maybe u are running at a 133Mhz FSB, and it is rather comprehensible that it doesn't let u run the +33Mhz for the memory. Try running the fsb at 100Mhz, and then see if u have the option fot +33Mhz.

With any FSB I use (66, 75, 83, 100, 103) the option does not change in the BIOS (only FSB and FSB-33 are available). However, i cannot change with WPCREDIT even between those options that are available through BIOS(ie I have a mem speed of 100, as the FSB, and want to go to FSB-33), because i get a instant reboot. What i think is that even though the options are available, they can not be set outside boot time. Maybe I should try WPCRSET?
Now i realised that i wrote in the previous text "WPCRSET". I meant "WPCREDIT". Sorry.
Anybody has any ideas?

Cheers,
