I was advised by ATI to uninstall the VIA AGP driver from my Win2k machine, then re-install it, choosing "non-turbo" mode to fix several compatibility issues.  I have tried each version of the 4 in 1 drivers unsuccessfully - whenever I reinstall, I do not get the turbo / non-turbo option.  Is there a trick, such as a registry edit that I need to perform in order to be able to re-install in non-turbo mode?  Thanks.

If there´s a registry fix or key to set the AGP filter to non-turbo mode, I do not know anything about it.

Somebody correct me here but doesnt win2k default to agp4x so even if you dont use the Via agp drivers win2k still wants to be in turbo mode and MS also had a patch to fix a problem with agp4x in win2k.I dont really undrstand why Ati wants you to uninstall and reinstall the agp driver.Which 4/1s are you using? You can use the MS agp driver which may have better compatibility with the Ati card but give us alittle more info and we'll try and help,CC

The video card is a Radeon All-in-Wonder 32MB AGP 4x, the mainboard is a Tyan 1834S with the Apollo Pro 133A chipset running dual 800EB's with 512MB matching SDRAM.
My PC will not shut down - it hangs at "It is now ok to shut off your computer", or just re-boots.  I also have GL issues with the Quake series of games and sometimes with Baldur's Gate II.

I called ATI and was told that these were known issues resulting from installing "turbo-mode" during initial driver installation, and that fixing the problem required uninstallation, then re-installation using the "non-turbo mode" AGP driver.

Is there no way to trick my PC into thinking that this is the first installation again and giving me the option to choose turbo / non-turbo?  Reformatting and starting from scratch is just too overkill of a solution.

Thanks

Have you recently upgraded your BIOS?
Anyway, I think you should reformat and install everything again...
