i tried to unlock my xp with crazy glue and rear defogger conductive paint and i think some of the paint seeped down into the pits because when i set the bios to defaults i get a xp1700 at post (11x) and i can only change the multiplier to 12x without it locking up and not booting into post

is there any way i can get this crazy glue out so i can unlock it right?? ive heard that i can use a Qtip and nail polish remover but it doesnt sound like it would be too effective due to the pits being so small. is this the only way i can get the stuff out or is my XP just screwed??

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

THanks

Acetone or naptha would probably help break it down, BUT, make sure you read up on what's safe to put on the organic packaging.
