After getting my new SG01-E build down to acceptable noise levels, I've decided that I need a better GPU than the built in 6105 on my MSI K8NGM2-FID, which can't drive 1440x900 (native res of my Viewsonic 19" ws monitor) in even the most basic settings for most games.

I really don't want something increadibly noisy in there though, especially for normal non-games use, so was looking at the HIS X1800 GTO, which has an ICEQ3 cooler.  I'd quite like the VIVO features from ATI cards (but it's not that critical).

THe other option is one of the cheaper and cooler Nvidia 7600GT cards.

Anyone got any recommendations/advice?  Has anyone heard the HIS card and can comment on the noise, or the noise from a standard 7600GT?  Idle (non-gaming) noise levels are the most important, as those are the ones the wife will notice and wonder why I spent so much on a 'quiet' system that isn't so quiet.

(£156 for the X1800 GTO from ebuyer.co.uk)
