I would like my next build to be a slim SFF, with a case such as the Thermaltake Mozart Sx
This kind of case depends on the use of riser cards, which install add-ons horizontally above the mobo AFAIK. Doesn't this lead to (1) high temps and (2) no room for both the vid card and a tuner? How are people getting a full HTPC into one of these?

I like the flexibility to use ATX mobos, as then I have a much wider range of choices for a good performer for games and HTPC, but am wondering if a slim case dooms me to onboard video.

Thx.

(1) Riser cards do not produce any heat, they might impede case airflow slightly but I doubt significantly, so I doubt a riser card would cause any heat problems.

(2) Room for a graphics card and TV tuner depends on how many horizontal slots the case has (looks like 3) and having the right set of risers (which shouldn't be too hard if the riser comes standard).
