There already is one, but its not loaded into the new setup to load onto ones computer/web browser automatically like a newegg or some other site.

It was made available for you to manually place it into your browser.

I have it still, its the old style red "i"
 
I can email it to ya (its like 2k) if you'd like. Maybe I can see about making a new one to match the new theme.

why would it not automatically load? how can you specify a favicon yourself?

Through a favicon plug-in you can specify your own local favicons.

I don't know why it was never added to the site for all.

Maybe the new site admin could add it to his "to-do" list.
