So I'm trying to look for a fan that can fit on my top front end of my sn25p, however theres a hard drive* there =[... are there any really thin fans that are sized 80mm or larger?... i've been looking and the thinnest one is 80x80x15 mm....

any inputs ? thanks

So you want a fan blowing down on the top of your optical drive?

i want to be able to put a fan right above my hard drive with enough space so it can suck and exhaust air.. the goal is to keep it minimal so it doesnt stand out from the case a lot.

other than that... i can lower my harddrive by modding the mounts.. but im not interested in that lol

impossible to fan between hdd and cover... you may end up with cutting a hole in cover for 120mm fan. Then... after a while - I sold sn25p because of heat problems... I wanted silent and cool rig - ended up with Sugo.

I have seen 12mm 120mm fans before but long time ago and 8mm 80mm fans

Even with this thickness it is impossible to suck any air between cover and hdd, even after lowering hdd - only way is to cut a hole in cover and loose one of hhd places. Without lowering hdd there is about 3mm gap between cover and hdd top.
You could for example put down one of hdds straight on dvd - there will be about 10-12mm space between hdd and cover, but still - even when you find thin fan like that it wont work afficiently...

frozencpu has a selection of 140mm x 140mm x 20mm fans, some lit, some not

I like the silent white lit one

haha I was like wondering how i can mod my shuttle and I was thinking of making a metal fan shroud that comes out w/o an exhaust hole and also have it loop around and connect to the back end of the shuttle.. making it a handle!

to lazy to design on autocad haha, maybe if im bored
