I have a IIyama visionmaster Pro 510 it's a 22 inch monitor I had to send it to the sevice warehouse once now the Damn thing quit again funny smell like sulphur from it too this has been since sept 99 only two years paid 1000.00 bucks for the damn thing I live in minnesota and have to ship it to rancho domingues Calf. thing ways 85lbs expensive shipping sure they will fix it but you pay the shipping there they pay it back I'm going to get another flat crt monitor I was thinking of  a Nec 950+ or mitsubishi 19 inch flat crt I'm not buying the 22 inch models any more local stores don't carry that big so you pay for shipping and if something goes wrong shipping again thins way too much. Any models out there work good in the 19 inch models like to here from some people

Fasedw get anything that uses the Nec/Mitsubishi or Sony aperture grill crts. For gaming there is no comparison between it and the best of the shadowmask crts Viewsonic.
Sonys new 19-21 inch trinitrons have amazing clarity and I use the 17 inch version and i love it.
Buy anything from these two comapnies or made by them and you will love it,but cheap they arent but they do last and my wifes Nec is already 3 years old and looks terrific and better than the new envision monitor I purchased for her and took back after we compared,CC

I've got a Sony 21" 500PS and the thing is simply amazing.  Haven't had any troubles with it at all.  I don't think you can go wrong by getting a Sony.  For under $400 you can get a great 19".  If you've got the cash go for the 24".

Best Buy has Sony fasedw for $280 to $380 17-21 inch andpersonally o prefer to buy locally with monitors. The shipping situation with UPS and Fed Ex makes me wonder how well they do with their style of delivery. If theres a problem locally you can go to the store and have it taken care of with most new instore warranties.Sony is definitely my favorite and I would reccomend it to anyone. You might also look locally at swap or pawn shops.I bought my Sony 17 inch at a swap shop for $100 and its in perfect shape and has worked great and is still on a warranty its only less than a year old,CC

I have a Sony Flat 17'' monitor, it's great! It's the HMD-A220. I agree with CC, anything with Sony aperture grill crts is great.
