Hi! I am in unique oportunity to buy several almost new 2Ghz Woodcrest Xeons for 90$ each. These are server variant of Conroe, for those who don´t know. The pitiful fact on whole situation is that I have no funds to buy suitable motherboard, all socket 771 are very expensive 300$ and more. As the machine would be dedicated to folding only, I´d like to ask if maybe some of you would be able to get a cheap s771 mobo or actually donate it for this purpose. I would take care of memory and PSU as well as all electricity bills ;-) Thanks to let me know!

Definately, I will just have to miss this great opportunity, but I hope to get at least something cheaper after Christmass, when people need to get rid of old parts and unwanted gifts ;-)

I'd say get them anyway, then let them sit until you find a good motherboard deal...
