2- Will the 300psu fit in either of these boxes, I know their not listed but could they fit without cutting things.

1.) You can swap the covers over easily, I've done it myself, the only probably would be the front LED/Buttons ribbon. Different lengths, but that's easily done if you have both ribbons.

2.) When you say the 300w PSU y'mean the one that is able to fit into a G chassis? If so, you will have to mod the back to enable it to fit properly. I'll check my G2 case for you soon & get back t'you!

300 watt psu fits with the SD32G2 Mobo as the ram is in the front behind the faceplate and under the drive cage like the traditional G, G2s and some G5s (unlike the SN95G5 and ST20G5). I believe the back mod is only for those models with the ram under the PSU, right?
And according to Shuttle:
SD32G2 Compatibility List

As to the faceplate, I had to use the Power/Reset flat cable from a G series faceplate due to it's extra length.  But I do believe the connector on the Conroe board must be in a closer spot, though, making it pretty much the same, no?  And the front port bracket might have to be switched with the SN95 one.  I say might because I don't know the size of yours.  I had to mod the aluminum bit of my port bracket so it didn't stick out so much.  Other than that, the faceplate snaps right in.

Thanks for the quick reply.
The PC50 300W silent-X I see G,G2,G5 but not my models.

I had to change the MB [ fn41-->??65Intel I don't remember] and psu [200-->240 I think] in a SN41G2 and the problems encountered were:  with the psu you had to remove it to change ram and with the MB it didn't have a cover for the rear connections . This was when you could buy a MB as a accessory.

Looks like it's a go for this project.

thanks again

Done... wasn't toooo bad. A little more to it than I thought. hehe isn't that always the case.  Smiley

But now I have a SN95G2 V3 and a SD32G5.

Everthing works. The SD32 has 4 usb connections on the back but they used a USB header off the board so the only headers left on the board are the mini ones that won't fit my 7-1 card reader. Wanted to put that in but it was a nogo. All considered a very encouraging project.

Thanks for your help.
