Well I have been modding my qpack alot. It's pretty much gutted from a normal qpack but everything fits nicely.
My WCing started with a Zalman Res1 Plus and I was happy with the results but I wanted to step up my system a bit with some OCing and a 8800GTX. I knew the Zalman would be hard pressed to handle the OCing and the heat from the 8800GTX so I started planning a custom WCing kit. I was going to go with a single 120mm rad on the back like most but that was just too simple. After taking a few measurements and researching specs of parts I figured that I could fit a full 240mm rad in with little effort. Well after trimming the 5 1/4 bays a bit and mounting everything I knew the normal dvd drives would be cutting off too much air for the system. The idea of using a laptop dvd-rom came to me from planning my CapPC. So now I needed to gut the qpack and map out my install.
Here is the qpack gutted with a place for my pump and laptop dvd. I blocked off the 5 1/4 drive area to mount the HDD.
This is the mount I made for my rad.
This is the plate for the pump.
Some of the WCing parts mocked up.
And these are with the whole system mocked up less the graphics card which I am still waiting on.
I still need to cut the front cover for the dvd-rom. Truth is by the time this case is finished I'll be moving on to a new one. I'm planning on building a custom case. I already picked up a nice metal brake for the project. Still in the planning phase of it up more then likely it's going to be a SFF. This one I plan on doing alot of custom work to it. Should be a fun project.
Anywho I hope you like the qpack.
