Ahh yes, the old atx in matx project. I didnt need to do that with my v300 as the g33m ds2r board just kicks so much ass. Better oc than any atx board and excellent raid. Even has crossfire.
Obviously you will be doing sli... perhaps waiting on the 690i boards? what case will be the victim for your next mod?

Yeah, I know ATX, in a mATX case has been done before.  This will be slightly different though, as all the motherboard and video card connections will be routed to the rear of the case.  This will require some clever placement, and special extension cables.  As for the board, I'm undecided yet.  I'm not going to rule out an AM2+ board, or even Crossfire.  The next month or two will be interesting.  Lotsa new stuff coming out, although X38 seems to be completely underwhelming.  Even more so with X48 only a few months away...  I will also have dual 120.2 radiators mounted internally, 10.4" LCD, slot load drives, 4 hard drives, custom plexi, etc....  I've got the victim... err, case... already, but I'll have to wait a week or two before I can give you all the scoop.

X48 = X38's that overclocked a little higher in testing, so dont expect much from that.

Na, only need 1.  The new 3800's (2950 pro) only use about 135w or so each.  Sides, don't tempt him to try and squeeze two psu's in a case, he just might.

2 PSU's in a matx case?   :cheese:

Nah (although I think I could find the room!), I'll settle for one PSU at 1200 watts...

I'm hoping it runs cool, although it may need a dedicated circuit in my house... lol.
