I know that this isn't SFF... but there isn't a Modifications area for normal sized computers.  Mods move it if you think it fits better elsewhere.

Anyways, I have a question that i think could be answered pretty easy...

The deal is i just got a Power Macintosh G3 (Blue and White).  http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g3/stats/powermac_g3_450_bl.html
(not sure if its an actual 450...)
anyways it cost me 15 bucks for it.  I don't know if it works yet seeing as i am stuck in college classes still and haven't been able to plug it in to see.  I really wanna know though is if i can put an ATX motherboard in it?

I currently have this horrendously loud and very bright moster of a computer.  it has 5 blue LED fans...  and a 120 fan and the 3 fans in the power supply...
My question is if i could fit all the components inside the G3 case?  would that be possible? a pain in the butt?  Cause i would really think that would be kinda neat.
cause currently my computer has (what i wanna move anyways...):

ASRock ALiveXFire-eSATA2
2 1 gig sticks of ddr2 RAM
1 HD 500gigs
1  X1950GT ati raedon graphics card
1 dvd drive
1 floppy drive
2 ghz dual core windsor AMD processor (65w) (stock cooling... don't need anything better.)
Linkworld 630W Power Supply
so yeea... i know that the power supply i have is like 400W over what i need... so if someone would tell me this is possible, could you also suggest a better PSU that would fit in there too?  I haven't actually opened it really so i don't know how much space i have for a psu.

so any suggestions?  Cause i would really like to get my ATX computer in that G3 especially if the G3 doesn't work...

nope, it's not a normal atx case, you'll have to do some modding to get an ATX board in there.

But an ATX board will fit?  it kinda looks like it would that and the power supply doesn't look too off of what some ATX ones are... maybe one of the smaller PSUs?

like I said, if you're willing to mod the case you can get it in their, the case is big enough to house an ATX board, but it's not setup to use one by default, the standoffs probably won't line up and the ATX I/O backplate will be different as well.

The PSU I'm not sure if it's the same pin out or not.

An atx PSU i know can be used cause all you have to do is cut the 5-w wire or whatever cause that wire for the mac is really a ground wire but aside from that is should be the same PSU really.
