OCZ Technology Cooperates with Shuttle, ASUSTeK, and ABIT to host the 2006 Asia Pacific Technology Summit in Taipei, Taiwan

"Overclocking and cross platform cooperation are the key topics at the event. OCZ, Shuttle, and ASUSTeK will kick off the event by releasing a number of new products aimed at gamers and enthusiasts."

Anyone know or heard any whispers about what Shuttle's new products are?

Thanks hugh.

I was hoping Shuttle were going to release a i965 based XPC at this trade show, but alas, no.

Kind of disappointing in a way.  For one, that tower is completely hideous.  And it totally goes away from Shuttle's staple (much like the SS31T did), the ICE CPU cooler.

The "Supertuned" XPC could also be much better.  From that picture/comments, it doesn't appear that the author has had much exposure to Shuttle and may be comparing the P2 chassis to the original P series chassis.  That could be where his "modified XPC chassis" reference is coming from.  It looks exactly like a normal P2 chassis, if I'm not mistaken.  Also, if they are going with a larger than 400w power supply, this would have been a perfect opportunity to ditch the 2 60mm exchaust fans and 80mm psu fan, and come up with a power supply that uses a 120mm fan instead.

granted but then what do you do for those who want more harddrive space, you can't offer only 2 possible harddrives locations unless they want to ditch the optical

shuttle should use our feedback imo / , ditch all the small fans on the rear of the P / P2 cases and get one 120 MM for starters

Hugh, they just need to get a little creative with their PSU shape.  Big square block won't work, but if they make it chair-shaped you'd still have room for the 2 hard drives and the optical drive.

See the other thread that pertains to this for more:

Or even do something like we see are seeing on the Silverstone Sugo where the heat is vented out through the ICE and then through the PSU. Sure, it puts extra pressure on the PSU, but it has to be another innovative option to investigate.

At least we'll be seeing more enthusiast and gamer aimed XPCs.

I really do think the designer for that new tower should be dropped from a large height, that is freaking hideous!

I had a look at the supertuned xpc.
If you take a close look and zoom in where the sli bridge connecter goes you will notice.... an sli bridge.
o.O?
Theres 2 cards in that thing...
-Ash

EDIT:
To clarify, zoom in and you can see the silicone bridge, and just where the shadows overlay it you can see the white barcode sticker on the bridge. Its definately an sli bridge.

Aren't the lastest ATi cards dongle-less now? Don't they use an SLi connector thingy?
