In this thread post what model Shuttle PSU you have and what it is powering, in order to show that Yes, it CAN! If this thread gets long enough, how about a sticky? This is the most common question on the Shuttle forum.
Please post your specs in the thread, saying "check sig" doesn't help if you change the sig or go to a different machine. If you don't want to type it, the easiest way might be to make a post, say anything, then go to your post and copy your sig to the clipboard and then edit the post and paste your specs into the post.

Far from stressing, but:
SD37P2 V1 (400W PSU) powering:
7900GS KO (500/1380) 1 hard drive 1 DVDRW 1 OC'd E6600 (to 3.0GHz) at stock voltage 2GB RAM
-- Update March 2009 --
Since I upgraded a bit, might as well update with new specs:
SD37P2 V1 (400W PSU) powering:
GTS250 Superclocked (771/2246) 2 hard drives 1 DVDRW 1 OC'd E6600 (to 3.0GHz) at stock voltage 2GB RAM

How about if I start a post with the pasted signatures for everyone when they post here? I can delete this if anyone objects....
Edit: deleted, a better solution was found.

Call me skepticalSorry, I'm wondering how well you guys are actually testing this before declaring "it works!". I mean, I thought my system was powering it just fine, too, until I started investigating power demands more. Take a look at XBitLab's testing of an X1950 Pro, here. Note that, under load, it takes up 12A on the internal +12v line and 12A on the +12v line attached to the PCI-E connector. That's not a 'box statement', that is ACTUALLY WHAT IT NEEDS. Guess what? Shuttle "G"-chassis do not have 2 +12v lines, and I'm skeptical the PSU can deliver 60W on the one +12v line. What could that lead to? What about annoying and hard to track down minor artifacts? Can't say for sure that is what is causing it, but it seems likely given what we know of the X1950's power demands and Shuttle PSUs. Now, keep in mind, while I'm one of the people seeing that...the game IS 'stable'. No obvious excessive crashes, and no other game on my system (usually playing the 'Silent Hunter' games) crashes at all. Just those damned flashing lights every once in a while.

I think that table is being misinterpreted. It shows only 65.7W total for the 3D mode, which is fine for any Shuttle PSU and there is no way it's using 12A on each of two rails. For myself, I'm claiming success after running games, 3DMark, and stability tests like Orthos stably. I'm pretty sure most others aren't claiming success lightly. If you have a link to the original article, maybe we can figure out what they're trying to say with those voltage measurements.
If no one objects, can we take this particular discussion to a new thread? I don't want to destroy the signal-to-noise ratio of this one.

I'm still trying to push the audio to my Onkyo 674 receiver, but my video via dvi/hdmi to my 42 " HDTV looks great.
