I've watched the 2 debates held by CNN this week

A big difference I noticed is that Dem candidates followed the debate rules and keep their speech within 1 min in most cases.

But Rep candidates talked like chicks. The host was forced to stop them from talking all the time.

I missed out on another one last night!  One of my co-workers watched one of the debates, and commented how the candidates liked to stick with short, sound bite responses and phrases, opposed to giving any details on they'd do things.
While I liked to hear someone say they'll withdraw troops or end a war, I'd like to know more about their strategy.

It's phase I, these candidates are aiming to win the primary on either side. So you've got to take that into consideration

Why would it involve more than just dems and reps? As Balthaser said, these guys are trying to get the attention of their party members more than the American public. The goal is for them to win their respective primaries.
