The switches look out of place and the slim drive looks inaccessible. You should put the power button in the middle of the "Crysis" plate. What do you mean by out of place? I cannot put power button in the middle - that is the place for red acrylic with etched name on it and lighted with leds... |

well the whole panel has a "sleek" motif the switches just look odd from what i can see. and i'm glad to think i wasn't the only one thinking it would be an inaccesable dvd location  |

Tell me how and which micro switches to use and I'm going to change it... I want buttons like reset switches in any case, like phone set buttons.. What kind of are these??? I cannot use push to make - momentary cause it has to be on/off switch. I tried to find some but all of them are huge and I want to small ones, then I just glue a small piece of acrylic to then on the front making a perfect small switch for led loops. What do you think? And I cannot put dvd anywhere else... top will cover half of case, middle will be covered by chrome ring on the front. DO you have other idea? Plus I do not use dvd a lot, and - yes, it would be inaccesable if that was a tray dvd - this one is slot-in - it is so easy to use it, not moving tray, so you need to push in dvd, that's it... why do you think its a problem? |

Slot or tray, you still need a cd-sized space to load a cd.

Personally, I like the switches, and can't figure how the DVD slot is inaccessible. You just reach down and pop in a disc, right...? As for static electric shock, I agree it's a myth. Computer hardware is way more durable that you'd think. I once poured an ENTIRE glass of (ice) water onto a RUNNING socket a motherboard on my floor. (Don't ask how.) It turned off, but once it dried off, it started right back up, no problems, as far as I can tell.  |

Hugh, Noswal - sorry guys, but I don't see any problem of using dvd here - like Invisiblemoose said here - you just reach down and pop in a dvd disc, that's it. I even like it down there - it is something different than any other case - I don't have to worry to break dvd or tray, all stuff on front panel are situated nicely.. It is sth like every laptop! Are they inaccessible? Everyone has to leave the space in ront of it - and here as well. I do not leave anything in front of my computer. First of all I do not leave dvd inside if I'm not using it, so I can have anything in the front of the case any time. When the time comes to use a dvd I will take anything staying on my way from the desk and put the disc in. Right? About the switches - does anyone know some kind of micro-switches that are not momentary so I could you them to turn on/off the lights in the case?

You know what, I actually like the version with the drive on the bottom better. Heck, it's your case, and you'll be the only one 'inconvenienced' by it. My drives are on the bottom as well, and I don't see an issue with it.

don't get me wrong, dvd on the bottom is by far the best looking panel you've shown us, but for me it would get annoying at times

That's ok Hugh. Its just I'm always trying to satisfy everyone, but you just can't... I think that my first version looks ok and it's the best for this kind of case...
.
I also going to use additional radiator - 120.1 - going to buy from my friend here Hugh - will help to cool CPU and GPU in one loop. Loop will be look like this:
pump/block -> 120.1 rad -> GPU -> 120.2 rad -> t-line fillport -> pump/block.
Only odd thing will be that 120.1 rad has 90degree angled compression connectors that will be used with 10/8 thin hose, where rest of the loop has 3/8"... I think I'm gonna have to use some kind of converters or sth...
What do you guys think? is it ok?
EDIT: wait. I just thought what I said.. Correct me if I'm wrong - I do not need any converters - 10/8 and 3/8" are the same hoses, but only wall is thinner, right? so I do not need to change my barbs and leave them 3/8"... right?

In the loop it will be right after CPU block.pump, then hose will go to GPU, 120.2 rad and back to pump. I will put that radiator on PSU, I hope PSU fan will be anough to suck some air through that rad on lower level.. dont you think? Like Craig mentioned in his ROUGE - radiators can stay alone without fans, as long as you have lots of them and some airflow in the case:) Maybe next time I wil build cube case (cause I love only that shape:)) and use 4 120.2 radiators all without fans!!!.. hehe... just dreaming.. |

I wasn't really happy with those radiator feet.. I had to make new ones. So cut off 2 small pecies of red plexi and made a cut inside to spread two flat parts for screws - one for radiator - other for case...   Pretty rough... Now one "leg" is going up, other stays in place:) The wider one goes up!  After hardcore session with iron...  Now added some curves... ME LIKES CURVES.....   Edges are rough, need some sanding paper treatment now... I will show that later.. now have to clean my ride.. its very sunny today and it needs clean.. it is very dirty ride:))) (... Oh man.. I'm kinda horny today:) ...) |
