After a year and a half without a Folding box (honestly kept forgetting to put it back on everytime I re-installed Windows), I'm back with my new machine. I'm running a Core 2 Quad Q6600 with the SMP client... works good - mu CPU performance reads at 100% across the board, so it's doing something... I was looking at the GPU client for ATI cards. I have a new HD2600XT, but I didn't see anything that would work on that. Is there something for the new cards, or is the client still last generation? Anyways, look to see me turning in some WUs in the near future... couldn't let Wunderbolt pass me...

Welcome back, remember you from bout 2 years ago, always good to see old folk come home...
I'm back as well, in the sense I've installed the SMP client on all my 939, AMD 4800 X2 rigs, so hopefully can contribute more to the team, I've been busy at work plus travelled a fair bit (for work) and am finally back home !

It is really great to see you back here fall-apart  I see that today you are already up to number 5 in the top producers. Your avatar has always been a favorite and I've learned a lot from your posts. Welcome back to a much quieter folding forum.

Thanks - I took a somewhat unintentional break, but when I built my new rig, I decided to hop back on the wagon. I've been doing some other fun stuff since I came back, too!

the GPU client sucks, it's not worth the points because it uses 100% of one of the CPUs but the points don't reflect that fact. SMP is faster and less trouble.

Good to know... I like the SMP - it's chomping through the WUs...

the window SMP client is a rigged version of the linux version, so it's a little weird, make sure to check the logs every couple days at least, as it some times sits ther not doing anything but peaks the cpu like it is.
