How big a disc does the original WinXP recognize ?

I'm getting a 200Gb drive and don't know if my copy can handle that.

TIA,

If you don't have any backwards compatability issues, running W98, ReactOS or Linux for instance - you should probably consider formatting NTFS which has a maximum capacity of 16 Exabytes.

Yes, thanks for the input. Does the original WinXP disc have a limitation of ~150G for installs. For some reason I thought that.

Its possible it might for an Upgrade Install, but can't see it myself for a clean one.

can't remeber if it's SP1 or SP2 that fixes it but the original no service pack Windows XP can I think only see like 136GB of the drive until you load a service pack or IDE driver to fix it.

If the disc already has SP2 integrated, then you're fine.

Yeah, just use a SP2-integrated CD to be on the safe side...
